Welcome to the Additional Resource Provision K2AD

We are a Local Authority funded High Needs Provision for KS2 children from Y3 to Y6.

In our ARP, our children are taught in a holistic way to support their social and emotional needs as well as their academic progress by staff who are highly experienced in supporting children with additional needs.

We follow the same curriculum as the mainstream classes but highly differentiated and personalised. As a fully inclusive school, our children take part in activities with other classes such as sporting events, school trips, break-times and lunch-times as well as other whole-school events. Some of our children also take lessons in mainstream classes.

Our school day:

· Reading
· Maths
· Literacy
· Foundation subject (topic based).

Our PE day is Monday. Please make sure your child brings an appropriate kit including footwear as they may do PE outside.

Friday afternoon is the highlight of the week – Golden Time! We provide various fun activities for the children to choose from, sometimes have snacks as a treat and may even take them for a trip to the local play park or beach if the weather’s good. It is their time to show independence and learn good social skills, interacting and having fun with each other!

Homework:

Homework is given every Friday to be completed by the following Friday.

All children are expected to read at least 4 times each week as we know how important it is to read regularly, not just for Literacy but for all subjects.
