Design and Technology

Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Children are encouraged to research and discuss products and mechanisms as individuals and as groups. They develop their knowledge and understanding of past and present design and technology and recognise how it impacts on daily life and the wider world. St Peter’s encourages children to use their creativity and imagination to explore, design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, drawing upon cross-curricular skills where possible. Children are encouraged to take risks but reflect on their work and independently discover solutions in the hope of becoming future engineers.
